Circen Dolomites Festival
Promotional video for Italy’s highest circus festival
2021
Giochele is a playful monkey who loves to entertain with his juggling skills. Even the most stubborn ones!
He is the mascot of Circen Dolomites Festival, a circus festival that takes place in the mountains of Fassa valley.
Giochele’s origins come from the story “L saut de Giòchele te la libertà”, a Ladin story written in 1912 by Ugo de Rossi.
In 1991, Claus Soraperra brought Giochele to life with his drawings in a new reinterpretation of the same book.
The 2021 version has simpler shapes, functional to the disassemble of its body parts for juggling purposes. In the animation he is accompanied by a teenager with a juggling-pin shaped head, who is very reluctant to go outside.
